Our message to the community in light of COVID-19:
It is our mission to honor and serve our families with dignity and compassion, while keeping the health and safety of our staff and community in mind. Olson Burke/Sullivan Funeral & Cremation Center is following the guidance of the World Health Organization and Center for Disease Control and Prevention, as well as the Cremation Association of North America and the National Funeral Directors Association.
The CDC has provided the following guidance: Decedents with COVID-19 can be buried or cremated. Embalming can be conducted. A funeral or visitation service can be held for a person who has died of COVID-19.
Considering concerns regarding COVID-19, we continue and prefer to complete arrangements with technology, from your own home via email and our website. Our funeral directors and staff are available to assist over the phone if necessary.
Regarding viewings and services, for everyone’s safety, we have established the following protocols:
- Gatherings of 50 guests or less
- Masks are required
- No contact temperature checks upon arrival
- All attendees will provide their name and phone number upon entry for the purpose of contact tracing
We will continue to work in conjunction with county offices and medical professionals to serve our community in a timely manner with the dignity and care that they deserve.
